The Peruvian Baritone Patricio Cueto studied Humanities and Singing at the University of San Agustin in Arequipa, Peru. His first performances were with the Arequipa Symphony Orchestra, and subsequently followed by numerous engagements in Opera and Oratorio throughout South America.
In 2008, after winning a stipendium from the "Academia Vocalis Tirolensis", Patricio Cueto studied with Kurt Widmer and Bodo Brinkmann in Münich.
In 2009, he began further studies with Prof. Mario Diaz at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg. In 2011, he sang the role of Giorgio Germont in the Mozarteum’s production of Verdi’s "La Traviata" followed by Don Alfonso in Mozart’s “Cosi fan Tutte”.
Patricio Cueto is also graduated in Classical singing performance (LLCM) by the London College of Music.
Further master classes with, among others, Renato Bruson in the Accademia Chighiana in Siena, Grace Bumbry in Salzburg and Juan Pons in Vicenza.
Patricio Cueto has since sung the roles of Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Coline (La Boheme), Amonasro (Aida) and Scarpia (Tosca) in the “Oper im Berg Festival” summer series, and Rigoletto and Giorgio Germont for the Opera festival in Schloss Amerang (2015).
